For example, the newly launched "Star Home Call" mobile application introduces Hong Kong’s first "Home Junk Call Blocking" feature* and free overseas callback to Hong Kong+ to our customers.
A clear, stable and reliable calling service
HKT Home Phone Service uses the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) or Next Generation Network (NGN), which provides telecommunications connectivity between fixed points in Hong Kong. This means voice quality is not affected by external signals or Internet traffic.
Keeping you in touch with the world and reliable in all weathers∆
Service is not affected by a residential building’s electricity supply. This means our telephone service and emergency alarm system remain up and running in all weathers, even during an electricity power cut for a certain period of time.

*According to the public and online information of major fixed-line telecommunications operators in Hong Kong in January 2018, HKT is the first fixed-line telephone service provider to launch "Home Junk Call Blocking" feature.
+Customers need to connect mobile network data or WiFi for enjoying the feature of calling back to Hong Kong free of charge by using Star Home Call mobile application. Customers are responsible the cost of overseas mobile network data and WiFi.
∆Except if damage to network equipment caused by unforeseen circumstances, such as bad weather or accident.
^Free onsite installation is applicable only to customers who have subscribed to service for a designated commitment period. Maintenance does not cover damage or loss caused by misuse, abuse, neglect or unauthorized repair or modification, and is applicable only within the commitment period.
